CLA Malta is a leading professional services firm forming part of the CLA Global network. With over 140 professionals locally and a growing international footprint, we are strengthening our Audit & Assurance leadership team and are seeking an Audit Manager to join us.
The Role
As an Audit Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients while also taking direct responsibility for reviewing, leading and executing complex audit engagements. You will play a key technical and supervisory role within the team, ensuring quality delivery and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, review and lead audit engagements from planning through to completion
Personally lead and perform complex audit assignments, including preparation and review of financial statements - Prepare and review audit strategies, risk assessments and audit plans
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAPSME and applicable regulatory requirements
- Perform detailed technical reviews of working papers prior to Principal review
- Manage a client portfolio and act as primary point of contact
- Oversee engagement budgeting, timelines and team allocation
- Identify and resolve audit risk and accounting technical matters
- Provide mentorship, guidance and on-the-job training to team members
- Liaise with other service lines to ensure seamless delivery
Education & Experience
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent)
- In possession of, or in process of obtaining, a CPA warrant and Practising Certificate in Auditing (Malta)
- Minimum 4+ years’ audit experience
- Strong working knowledge of ISAs, IFRS and GAPSME
