For Len & Jacob: When Wellness Becomes Impact

6/11/2025

Being Built Differently isn’t only about how we operate, innovate, and service our clients; it’s also about how we show up for our community with intention, empathy, and real action.

This month, we traded our laptops for laces and met in the open air for Smiles for Miles, a CSR initiative geared towards movement, mindfulness, and meaningful impact. Our team took part in a Walk to Jog session at Ta’ Qali Family Park, pushing through burpees, burning quads, and a few out-of-breath laughs along the way; all led by Brian, the father of two extraordinary boys: Len and Jacob.

Len and Jacob live with a rare condition called Zellweger, Infantile Refsum Disease: a condition that affects their coordination and motor skills, limiting their physical abilities. Their parents are raising funds to support advanced therapy such as hippotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other specialised physical work, therapies that are crucial, but not supported by NGOs.

This time, our CSR wasn’t just about fitness for fitness’ sake.
It was movement with purpose.

CLA Malta contributed directly to the Len & Jacob Wellness Fund, and we hope this small gesture can help open doors to the therapies that can change outcomes, abilities, and independence.

Because when you’re Built Differently,
You give differently, too.

“Every step we take for someone else has the power to change where their future can go.”
