At CLA Malta, we believe that giving back to the community is a fundamental part of our identity. As part of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, we are proud to support Puttinu Cares and their mission to assist Maltese and Gozitan patients undergoing medical treatment abroad.
For over two decades, Puttinu Cares has provided invaluable support to patients who must travel to the UK for specialised care. Each month, between 60 and 90 individuals face not only the challenges of serious illness but also the significant financial burden of accommodation in London.
To address this, Puttinu Cares has already established 20 apartments near the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, offering patients and their families a place to stay free of charge. Building on this effort, the organisation has recently acquired a new property in Central London, close to Great Ormond Street Hospital, with plans to expand the building and add further accommodation.
Once completed, this project will increase the total number of free apartments to 49, providing a “home away from home” for even more families during difficult times. The new building will also be dedicated to the memory of Dr. Victor Calvagna, whose compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on many lives.
We are honoured to contribute to this meaningful initiative. Supporting causes that create real, tangible impact reflects our values as an organisation and reinforces our commitment to the communities we serve.
At CLA Malta, we remain dedicated to making a positive difference: both through our work and through initiatives that support those in need.
